BHOPAL: Police have resolved a three-year-old case involving skeletal remains by arresting three persons, a woman, her brother, and her lover in Madhya Pradesh’s Ashok Nagar district. The case dates back to 2021, when skeletons were discovered in a wooded area.
The deceased, identified as Brikhbhan Lodhi, was allegedly murdered by his wife after he attacked her, suspecting infidelity.DNA tests, comparing samples from the skeleton and Lodhi’s family members, confirmed his identity.
Chanderi Police revealed that the wife, her brother Siyaram Lodhi, and her lover Raja Parmar were responsible for the crime. The murder stemmed from jealousy and financial disputes. Brikhbhan Lodhi was reported missing on May 2, 2020.
Investigations led the police to suspect the wife and her accomplices. After finding inconsistencies in their accounts and gathering cyber cell evidence, the suspects eventually confessed. They admitted to murdering Brikhbhan Lodhi with an axe and dumping his body in the woods.
The regional police affirmed, “Chanderi Police stated that the victim was murdered by his wife, her brother, Siyaram Lodhi, and her lover, Raja Parmar.” The suspects have been formally charged and presented in court.
