The celebrations were organized by Geeta Bhardwaj and her executive team of a club. “The week-long preparations culminated in song and dance renditions, poetry recitation and much more. The fervor of patriotism rose to its peak as everyone joined in a chorus to the patriotic songs of Bollywood films,” expressed Geeta.
Sushma Makkar described a memorable moment from the event. “It was a magical sight to see – a dance duet with the Tricolour performed against the green environs and towers of the society with a beautiful breeze, by Shilpi and her young daughters,” she said.

Mehra, Secretary of the club, mentioned that last year’s plan was different. “Last year we had planned a trip to Hussainwala border on Independence Day. This time due to the hot weather, we decided to do a residential programme and it was so much appreciated by all,” he explained.

Pooja Behi emphasized the importance of instilling patriotic values in children. “It is important to inculcate a sense of valor and nationalism in our children from their tender years,” she said, noting that her granddaughter arrived in an Air Force uniform.
