Avneet Kaur fondly reminisces about her experience playing Rani Mukerji’s niece in the film Mardaani, which recently completed 10 years ago. The film, which addressed crucial social issues, became a landmark in Indian cinema, garnering widespread acclaim and recognition.

Reflecting on her time on set, Avneet shares, “It was an incredible experience that marked the beginning of my career in movies. Working with Yashraj Films and the legendary Rani Ma’am was nothing short of a dream come true! Shanoo Ma’am cast me for the role, and everything felt just perfect. I learned so much from that project and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I even had a cameo in Mardaani 2, which made it even more memorable.”
Avneet’s gratitude for the film extends beyond her personal experience. She believes that Mardaani has played a significant role in raising awareness about important social issues in India. She emphasizes the importance of everyone, men and women alike, watching the film to understand the journeys of its characters. She added, “This film has been such a movement in India, addressing many important issues that are happening at present. I believe it’s very important for every person, men & women both to watch the journeys. I’m extremely proud that it’s been 10 years since the film’s release and grateful for the love that it continues to receive.”
On the work front, Avneet Kaur is set to make her international debut with the upcoming film Love in Vietnam.
