Following a fiery debate between Republican candidate Donald Trump and vice president Kamala Harris, a flurry of conspiracy theories has erupted, largely driven by MAGA supporters. The claims range from Harris using secret earphones to accusations of supernatural manipulation. These wild allegations have flooded social media, with users sharing increasingly bizarre theories, all aiming to discredit Harris and the debate itself.

The most talked-about claim centers around an accusation that Harris was wearing high-tech wireless earphones disguised as pearl earrings during the debate.According to several MAGA supporters on X (formerly known as Twitter), the Vice President’s stylish earrings were not ordinary accessories, but rather Nova H1 earphones—devices marketed as the “first and only wireless earphones embedded in a pair of pearl earrings.” These claims gained traction when one user tweeted, “BUSTED! SHE’S WEARING EARPHONE EARRINGS,” alongside side-by-side images of Harris’s earrings and a prototype of the Nova H1 earphones, pointing out their visual similarities. Another user chimed in, questioning, “Is she wearing an earring with an audio device? Can someone check on this?”

Despite these assertions, fact-checkers on Twitter quickly debunked the theory. A note attached to the viral post clarified that the Nova H1 earphones are still in development and are part of a Kickstarter campaign. It further explained that Harris’s earrings were simple translucent pearls sold by luxury brand Tiffany & Co., not high-tech devices. This, however, did little to quell the excitement of conspiracy theorists. “This is BIG if true. Of course, she would cheat,” one user insisted, while another speculated, “No wonder they want the mics muted in between so she can hear the ear mic.”

Harris’s team that had requested open microphones during the debate, contradicting claims that muted mics were part of a secret plot. Despite these rebuttals, the conspiracy persisted, with one Trump supporter even acknowledging, “I’m team Trump, but these are not the same; it doesn’t mean it can’t happen, but they’re not identical.”
As if the earphone allegations weren’t enough, another conspiracy began to circulate, this time accusing Harris and the debate moderators of engaging in “witchcraft.” Prominent Trump supporter Lance Wallnau shared a post claiming that the debate was influenced by “occult empowered deception, manipulation, and domination.” He went on to describe the moderators’ questioning as part of a supernatural plot to ensure Harris’s success, even suggesting that “something supernatural needs to disrupt this counterfeit momentum.”

Alongside these outlandish theories, some MAGA supporters alleged that the debate was rigged in Harris’s favor. They claimed that the moderators had leaked questions to her beforehand, furthering the idea that the entire debate was designed to benefit the Democratic candidate. “The moderators are rigged. The questions are rigged. The TV executives are all friends with the Democrat on stage,” one user argued, adding to the growing chorus of voices questioning the integrity of the debate.
