Hindu associations leaders protesting in Srikakulam on Wednesday.

Representatives of Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and other associations on Wednesday staged a protest at the Srikakulam Collector’s office, opposing the attacks on the Hindu community in Bangladesh.

Representatives of the associations, including Paranandi Venkataramana Murthy, Dunga Ramanamurthy, Birlangi Umamaheswara Rao and others, led a rally from Zilla Parishad to the Collector’s office.

Speaking at the culmination point, Mr. Murthy said that all nations should strongly condemn the Bangladesh government’s failure in controlling assaults on minorities. He alleged that over 2 crore Hindus living in Bangladesh are in a helpless condition as the government itself is encouraging attacks. He further alleged that the government policies are aimed to benefit only the majority.

Mr. Umamaheswara Rao said that the demolition of Hindu temples had hurt the sentiments of Hindu religion followers in India and other countries.
