Akshay Oberoi will complete 14 years as an actor this Christmas. This year has been incredible for him as he began 2024 with a bang with Fighter, co-starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. The film was seen by a huge number of audience and moreover, his character moved the audience in the second half. The impact was such that Akshay Oberoi ended up getting ambitious projects like Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Toxic.
EXCLUSIVE: Akshay Oberoi talks highly of Yash in Toxic: “The action he has done is vastly different from ANYTHING done in India so far”
While talking exclusively with Bollywood Hungama about his Christmas television release Kisko Tha Pata, Akshay Oberoi opened up about his upcoming films. Speaking about Toxic, he said, “Toxic is going to be really amazing and it’s this huge ambitious project. Geetu Mohandas is a freaking, excellent director. Yash’s thinking is bigger than anyone’s. His ability to take risks and push boundaries is incredible. The action he has done is vastly different from anything done in India so far.”
Besides Yash of KGF fame, Toxic also stars Nayanthara and Kiara Advani. Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, meanwhile, is directed by Shashank Khaitan and features Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf.
About this film, Akshay Oberoi stated, “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is a classic Varun Dhawan-Dharma film. I am happy to be in that world because it’s backed by a reputable production house. And who doesn’t work with Dharma Productions? Hence, I am very excited.”
Akshay also said, “The year 2024 has been spectacular. Fighter was a game-changer for me. It got me films like Toxic and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. I had multiple releases; old films of mine, which were ready, suddenly got a release due to my presence in this big film. Hence, things are finally falling in place after all these years.”
Speaking of Kisko Tha Pata, it also stars Ashnoor Kaur and Aadil Khan. It is directed by Ratnaa Sinha of Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana (2017) fame.
