Actor Rohan Gurbaxani had a tremendous 2023 professionally as he gave two back-to-back impressive performances in Zoya Akhtar’s Made In Heaven 2 and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. The actor seems all set to grow on that success with his upcoming projects, and he is leaving no stone unturned to achieve that.
Exclusive: Rohan Gurbaxani reveals playing piano professionally to prep for his character in Bandish Bandits Season 2
To prepare for his role in his latest series Bandish Bandits Season 2, the actor learned to play piano professionally. Rohan shared his excitement of getting this new experience and he said, “I have always had love for music and thus, I wanted to learn a musical instrument. And somewhere maybe I manifested it quite strongly as my role for my show required me to have piano skills. Instead of using a double on screen, I used the opportunity to learn something new, and thus I have been learning to play piano. It has been an exhilarating experience. Learning the piano was important so that I could learn new Idiosyncrasies about the character that I wouldn’t necessarily get from the script.”
Rohan also made a cameo appearance in Karan Johar’s latest directorial, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani last year. Even in a brief scene, he left a lasting impression with his onscreen charm and comic timing. In Made In Heaven 2, he shone as an ideal groom, who supports his partner no matter what. In Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, he played Ananya Pandey’s toxic boyfriend and with all these roles, Rohan proved his versatility.
Meanwhile, speaking of Bandish Bandits, the series features debutants Ritwik Bhowmik as Radhe Rathod, a Hindustani Classical musician and Shreya Chaudhary as Tamanna Sharma, a pop singer, who hail from different worlds of music. Exploring the debate of music being a discipline versus a means of liberation, the series also features Naseeruddin Shah, Sheeba Chaddha and Atul Kulkarni in key roles.
