About 2.85 lakh narcotic pills recovered by ANC Yamunanagar, two held in separate cases | India News

YAMUNANAGAR: The anti-narcotics cell (ANC) of the Yamunanagar district police arrested two persons in separate cases and recovered about 2.85 lakh narcotic pills from their possession worth about Rs 15 lakh in the last two days.
In the first case, the ANC arrested Diven Kashyap of Panjupur village in the district, who was running a pharmacy shop on Khajuri road from where he was supplying banned narcotic pills in Yamunanagar Sadar police station area.The ANC recovered 1,35,300 narcotic pills worth about Rs 7 lakh from possession of Diven at a rented property on Khajuri road and arrested him on Monday, said the police.
In the second case, the ANC arrested Himanshu Garg of Naharpur village in the district from Gandhi Nagar police station area on Tuesday. The ANC recovered 1,50,800 narcotic pills worth about Rs 8 lakh from possession of Himanshu at a rented property in Moti Bagh area of Bank Colony.
Yamunanagar additional superintendent of police (ASP) Himadri Kaushik said in the case of arrested of Himanshu, he has also revealed names of two of his accomplices Sahil of Kalindi Colony and Prashant Garg of Bank Colony, who would be arrested soon.
ASP Himadri said that both the accused were produced before the district court on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, which provided their police remand for investigation. She said that the source of the drug will be ascertained from the accused persons.
