Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri, known for his socially driven narratives, recently engaged in a thoughtful discussion about the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Abdul Hamid. The conversation unfolded on the set of Agnihotri’s upcoming film, The Delhi Files, where he explored the story of Mere Papa Param Vir, a biography authored by S. Ramachandran, a journalist, filmmaker, and author. Agnihotri shared a moment from the meeting on his social media, expressing his admiration for the story.

The interaction was facilitated by Vikram Khakhar, who holds the film rights to the book and is also working on establishing a military training school in Uttar Pradesh. Agnihotri also had the opportunity to connect with Abdul Hamid’s son, Zainul Hasan, and his grandson, Parvez, gaining insights into the decorated soldier’s life and legacy.
Mere Papa Param Vir, released last year by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat in Ghazipur, has been celebrated for its tribute to Abdul Hamid’s patriotism and bravery. S. Ramachandran, the book’s author, is now working on a new project titled The Bravehearts, which focuses on Kashmir.
Vikram Khakhar, who is producing Talakhon Mein Ek, a drama featuring Vikrant Massey and Raashi Khanna for Jio Studios, hinted at the possibility of future collaborations with Agnihotri. However, he noted that it was “too early to say anything.”
