BHOPAL: A stray dog bit 35 people, including BJP district vice-president Ashok Dubey, in a single day in MP’s Chhatarpur. The victims — children, youth and the elderly — were attacked between 2pm and 8pm Sunday.
All those bitten were treated at the district hospital. Angry locals rued the unavailability of rabies vaccines at the facility. A municipal corporation team has been dispatched to capture the rabid dog.
BJP district president Chandrabhan Singh Gautam was convening a meeting with workers at the party office Sunday. After the meeting, when Dubey stepped outside around 8pm, the dog bit him.
