Maha Kumb 2025, we all knew it would be a massive event, but it was hard to predict that it would attract so many people from different countries. From a middle-class man to a millionaire, people from different walks of life are taking a holy dip at the Kumbh 2025. Recently, the ‘Sikandar Ka Muqaddar’ fame Avinash Tiwary also paid a visit to Kumbh and he shared his experience of the spiritual retreat with us in an exclusive conversation.
He began by narrating to us what prompted him to go to the Kumbh in the first place. He shared, “I was always curious about Kumbh. That is something that was always there. It’s something that has been part of our culture for the longest time. This time when Kumbh was happening, my friends planned this, that they wanted to do it and they reached out to me if I would love to join it and I thought this would be the best opportunity. Also, this Mahakumbh is happening after 144 years. The relevance and the significance are huge.”
“I am personally not much of a believer but I am an observer of faith. That’s how I look at myself and I thought if anyone was interested in people, in the culture that we have, they should definitely be there at Kumbh. I think this is one of the biggest gatherings of the human population in one place, a festival that is celebrated in the entire world,” added the actor.
Further, when asked to elaborate on his experience of Kumbh, he had a charm and calmness on his face. With utmost joy and peace he said, “The colors, the sounds, the music, it’s almost like a trance. There is a certain relevance when lakhs of people come together with immense amounts of faith. Every cell in your body feels invigorated. It feels like you are in a state of trance. So I absolutely enjoyed this thoroughly and I would recommend this to everyone.
Last but not least, based on his experience he shared a piece of advice for those who are still contemplating Kumbh. The actor said, “Number one, just be ready to indulge in faith. Just be ready to indulge in the sound, the color, the festivity, conviction that people have and you will find it much easier to go through all the troubles and obstacles that you might find taking the dip.”
He further suggests that “if you want to avoid a huge amount of crowd, you can also do that if you just want to take a dip. There are various avenues that you can get to a certain point, take a boat and that boat will take you to Sangam where you can take a dip. So, make sure that you do thorough research on what are the possibilities before you go to Kumbh, and trust me, there is something for everyone there.”
“Make sure you don’t miss out on it. Plan a little because it only makes sense when there are so many people coming together, lack of resources, lack of space. If you are well-planned, you will be able to do this more smoothly and will be able to pre-empt and preserve yourself from any kind of hazard that can take place.” concluded the ‘Khakee: The Bihar Chapter’ actor.
