University of Madras holds election for one Syndicate post, 3 Senate spots

S. Santhosh Baboo, principal of Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College, was elected to the Syndicate of the University of Madras in the election held on Saturday. He was elected to the post following the retirement of a university professor.

In the election for three senate posts held on Saturday, R. Krishnamoorthy, associate professor, Department of Zoology, Government Arts College, Nandanam; T. Mathuram, associate professor, Department of Zoology, Dr. Ambedkar Government Arts College, Vyasarpadi; and A.N. Swamynathan, associate professor, Department of Computer Science, Rajeswari Vedhachalam Government Arts College, Chengalpattu, were elected. All the elected persons are members of the Professors’ Forum.
