NEW DELHI: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav appeared before Enforcement directorate (ED) in Patna in connection with alleged Land for Job scam on Monday.

Misa Bharti, daughter of Yadav who came with her father, reacted to the summon and said, “Everything is in front of the country and the people of the country are watching everything.”
RJD Rajya Sabha MP, Manoj Kumar Jha, accused Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of politically targeting its rivals using government agencies.
Jha said, “This is not an ED summon, but a BJP summon. This will go on till 2024, till then please do not call it ED summons. Why should we be scared?”
After Nitish Kumar switched sides and BJP joined the state government on Sunday, they claimed that corruption was deep in RJD.

Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chowdhary said, “The people of the country know that these (Lalu Yadav) are corrupt people. Corruption is a jewel for them. I want to urge Tejashwi Yadav to tell the youth of

Bihar the system of how to become millionaires within one and a half years.”
Lalu Prasad Yadav is alleged to have facilitated the transfer of lands owned by candidates and their family members to his wife Rabri Devi and daughter Misa Bharti at prices significantly lower than the prevailing circle rates and market rates, as part of their appointments in the Railways.
The CBI filed the chargesheet in October last year, naming Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi, their daughter Misa Bharti, and 13 others in connection with the land-for-jobs scam.
