The Budget has generated a lot of interest among all sections of people, and hopes are high that the State government will implement the ‘Super Six’, the key electoral promises made by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Jana Sena Party (JSP).

The government is likely to make provisions for Thalliki Vandanam, a financial aid of ₹15,000 per annum to the mothers who send their children to school. Another promise of ₹20,000 per annum financial assistance to farmers under Rythu Bharosa scheme is likely to figure in the Budget. Of this ₹20,000, the Central government will contribute ₹6,000 under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana, while the remaining ₹14,000 has to be borne by the State government.

The other promises such as ₹1,500 per month financial assistance to women, and free bus travel for women may not find allocations in this Budget, say highly placed sources.

The government is likely to make a provision in the Budget for the fishermen community. The TDP has promised to pay ₹20,000 to fishermen families during the fishing ban period.
