Seventeen individuals, including 16 women, were taken into custody during a raid at Wild Hearts Pub in Chaitanyapuri on the night of April 14. Police said the pub management was facilitating illegal activities, including acts of obscenity. “The women, all residents of Hyderabad and engaged in various occupations, were allowed free entry to interact with customers,” an official from the Chaitanyapuri police said.
Among those arrested was the DJ, who allegedly encouraged the women to engage with patrons. Efforts are on to trace pub owner Ramu and manager Santosh.
A case has been registered and an investigation is under way.
