INDORE: A 77-year-old man who was thrashed brutally by a group of people 10 days ago over an RTI application died in MP’s Ratlam on Saturday, triggering protests that prompted the administration to demolish part of the house of a Janpad vice-president, the main accused.
Family members kept the victim’s body in front of Janpad vice-president Suresh Jat’s house and refused to conduct the last rites until bulldozer action was taken.
The trigger for the attack was an RTI application filed by the victim in 2022.
