Drama prevailed on Saturday (June 14, 2025) after the Home Department appointed T. Kodandarama, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) of the Criminal Investigation Department, as the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) for Cubbon Park sub-division. Minutes later, the department struck down the order until further notice.
In the initial order, the department instructed Mr. Kodandarama to report for duty immediately. But the subsequent order revoked the first and stated that the transfer had been put on hold until further notice.
Balakrishna, ACP, who was heading the sub-division was suspended after the stampede at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium during RCB’s victory celebrations.
