NEW DELHI: A National Investigation Agency (NIA) team probing the East Medinipur blast case were attacked on Saturday at Bhupatinagar in West Bengal.
Protestors in Sandeshkhali also blocked the anti-terror probe agency from carrying out an investigation in connection with the case.
The national probe agency was stopped from taking the accused persons along with them.
A team of NIA officials earlier this morning arrested two persons in connection with the case and were on their way back to Kolkata, when the vehicle came under attack, they said.
“Locals gheraoed the vehicle and pelted stones at it. The NIA has said one of its officers was also injured,” a senior police official told news agency PTI.
