NEW DELHI: Delhi high court on Friday put on hold chief minister Arvind Kejriwal‘s bail in the money laundering case until it hears the matter linked to the now-scrapped excise policy case over which the AAP convenor has been arrested.
Arvind Kejriwal was given bail by the Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday in the case. The vacation judge Nyay Bindu of the Rouse Avenue Court granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal upon furnishing a bail bond of Rs 1 lakh.
On Friday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) challenged the trial court order for an urgent hearing before a bench of Justices Sudhir Kumar Jain and Ravinder Dudeja.
Additional Solicitor General S V Raju, representing the ED, sought a stay on the trial court order contending that the agency was not given a proper opportunity to argue its case.
