Amazon is kicking off 2024 with four new games for Prime Gaming subscribers. The e-commerce major has announced the new titles that will be added to its gaming platform in January 2024. Most importantly, Amazon Prime Gaming subscribers will be able to enjoy these four new games without any extra cost. Apart from offering a new line-up of games for subscribers to enjoy monthly, Prime Gaming also offers free perks and items for other fan-favourite titles.
The company has already revealed the games and their availability dates for January 2024. The lineup will feature indie adventure titles as well as reimagined classics. Prime Gaming will be able to access one of the four games on each Thursday in January. The free gaming lineup starts this week with a 2023 BAFTA award winner as a headliner. Endling: Extinction is Forever (January 4)
The first title to drop in January, Endling – Extinction is Forever will be available to claim on January 4. In this indie adventure game, players have to assume the role of the planet’s last remaining mother fox who tries to keep herself, her cubs and her species alive. This adventure will focus mainly on real-world environmental issues. Also, as the title suggests, the permanence of these damages to the environment will also be highlighted in the game. At BAFTA’s 2023, Endling – Extinction is Forever was awarded as Game Beyond Entertainment. The title has won a slew of other accolades since its release.
Apico ( January 11)
Apico is set to be the second title that will be available on Prime Gaming for free this month. Subscribers will be able to claim starting January 11. Apico is a beekeeping simulation game where players have to explore the world of apiculture. From collecting and breeding bees to selling honey and crafting habitats for new species, players have to do it all. This indie game also features genetics, crafting, exploration and collection all packed into a pixel art style. The game can be played solo, or with up to four friends in online co-op.
Atari Mania (January 18)
Prime gaming subscribers will be able to get their hands on Atari Mania on January 18. This game is based on a new original story from Atari Games. The action-adventure title is a nostalgic look back to the classics with a fresh original twist. In this game, players have to protect the past of video game history and explore the world of their favourite Atari games and characters. The title is filled with mini-games and boss battles, along with Easter eggs for dedicated fans of the classics.
Yars: Recharged (January 25)
The last title that will be available for free on Prime Gaming this month will be another Atari game. Subscribers will be able to claim Yars: Recharged on January 25. This revival of the 1982 classic comes with 30 waves of arcade mode. It will be followed by 30 more missions to continue the battle.
