BTS Jimin‘s latest solo album, Muse, has soared to the top of Billboard’s new music poll this week, capturing 68% of the votes. This impressive win places the BTS star’s album ahead of other notable releases, including Stray Kids’ Ate, Joe Jonas’ “Work It Out,” JADE’s “Angel of My Dreams,” and Childish Gambino’s Bando Stone & The New World.
Announced in June, Muse showcases Jimin‘s evolving musical style, expanding on the themes explored in his debut solo album, Face.BigHit Music described Muse as a reflection of Jimin’s quest for inspiration and his musical growth since Face hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 last year.
The album features collaborations with Loco and Sofia Carson, and highlights Jimin’s experimentation with fresh sounds and styles. This follows his historic 2023 achievement as the first South Korean soloist to top the Billboard Hot 100 with “Like Crazy.”
Amid his military service, where all BTS members, except Jin, are currently enlisted, Jimin continues to work on various projects. He is also preparing for the release of a docu-series, Are You Sure?!, with Jung Kook, showcasing their travels across South Korea, the U.S., and Japan.
Trailing behind Muse on this week’s poll is Stray Kids’ Ate, which secured 27% of the votes. The mini-album marks the group’s third single of 2024, following their Charlie Puth collaboration, “Lose My Breath.”
