Bollywood actor, sports enthusiast, and entrepreneur Abhishek Bachchan is expanding his footprint in sports with his latest investment in the European T20 Premier League (ETPL). During his recent visit to Dublin, he highlighted his involvement in the league, which aims to redefine cricket in Europe.

Sanctioned by the ICC in January 2025, the European T20 Premier League (ETPL) is a joint initiative by Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands. Featuring six franchise teams—two from each country—the league marks a new era of collaboration in European cricket. The inaugural season, set for July 15 to August 3, 2025, in Rotterdam and Dublin, promises an exciting summer of T20 action for fans across the region.
Unlike traditional cricket leagues governed by a single national board, the ETPL is backed by Cricket Ireland, Cricket Scotland, and Cricket Netherlands. This unified approach strengthens the tournament and opens new opportunities for cricket’s growth across Europe, excluding England.
Speaking about his association with the ETPL, Abhishek Bachchan shared his enthusiasm for the project. “I am incredibly excited to be a part of the European T20 Premier League.
