Peeved by the delay in the completion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan in the city, members of Prabhudha Bharat Bhim Sene staged a demonstration in the city on Monday, calling for expediting the works.

The activists pointed out that about 14 years had lapsed since the project was kickstarted during 2011-12.

Blaming the successive governments that ruled the State during the period, the activists held the Congress, the BJP, and the JD(S) collectively responsible for the incompletion of the project.

The Congress came under flak as it had included the completion of the Ambedkar Bhavan as one of its promises in the election manifesto.

As Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the district in-charge Minister are from Mysuru, they should accord priority to the completion of the work, said the activists.

Mr. Siddaramaiah was also urged to make sufficient allocation for the project to take up the remaining portion of the works and ensure that it was inaugurated at the earliest.
