Taking to his official Facebook handle, Manoj K Jayan shared the evocative snapshot, accompanied by a heartfelt note expressing his deep affection and reverence for the departed soul. In his touching message, he addressed Innocent as “(Beloved Innocent)”, capturing the warmth and camaraderie they shared. The post evoked an outpouring of emotions from fans and colleagues alike, who united in honoring the memory of the iconic actor.

Actor Mammootty also paid tribute to Innocent on his first death anniversary, sharing a picture of the late actor alongside the caption “Memory Flowers.”
Innocent, whose illustrious career spanned over several decades, etched his name in the annals of Malayalam cinema with over 700 memorable performances. His contributions were not confined to the silver screen alone, as he also served as a Member of Parliament, representing the Chalakudy constituency in the 16th Lok Sabha.
The beloved actor faced a formidable battle with throat cancer in 2012, alongside his wife, bravely documenting his journey in the memoir titled ‘Cancer Wardile Chiri’ (Laughter in the Cancer Ward) while undergoing treatment.
