Aditya Narayan, son of veteran singer Udit Narayan, received flak after a video of him hitting a fan and throwing his phone amid a concert in Rungta R2 College in Chhattisgarh went viral on social media. The event manager has broken his silence on the matter.
According to the event manager, the individual involved in the incident was not a registered college student, stating that he must be someone from outside the college. The manager told Zoom that the man was constantly dragging Aditya’s feet nonstop.
“He was very irritating. He banged his phone on Aditya’s feet multiple times. After that only did he lose his cool. He must have taken almost 200 selfies with this student. The whole concert went smooth apart from this. After this incident, the show went on for almost two hours. If the student was right, he would have had come forward,” the event manager said.

In response to criticisms leveled against Aditya, the manager defended the singer saying that even Darshan Rawal stopped doing such college events because these kinds of activities keep happening in every city.
“People don’t know the truth behind everything. You just see one side. He kept continuously hitting and dragging Aditya, what if he had fallen down? If this boy was right, he would have come forward and told the college authorities that this has happened to him. I have been connected with the college since many years and they haven’t had a good concert like this one ever. They have said so themselves,” the manager added.

In the viral clip, Aditya is seen crooning Aaj Ki Raat from Don starring Shah Rukh Khan. He is then seen losing his cool over a fan after the singer noticed him record while he was performing. The next thing in the video shows Aditya hitting the fan with his mic and then taking his phone and throwing it into the crowd.
This is not the first time Aditya lost his cool. In 2017, he was seen in a heated fight with airport staff at the Raipur airport.
