Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on Delhi government, describing it as “AAPda” and said that people of the city have waged a war against it.

Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Friday reacted sharply to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘AAPada for Delhi’ jibe at the party, and said that work done by the government is “not AAPda but people’s blessings”.

“Our work is not ‘AAPda’ but people’s aashirwaad,” Kejriwal said at a press conference, as the political temperatures in the national capital rise in the run-up to the Assembly Elections due next month.

“In 2020, PM made a few promises to the people of Delhi… He said that till 2022, everyone in Delhi will get a house… Today in 2025, PM Modi has handed over the keys to 1700 homes and he gave keys to 3000 houses in Kalka Ji some time ago. In total, he has given keys to 4700 houses in 5 years. In Delhi, there are 4 lakh slums and 15 lakh people need homes. Looks like their manifesto was for 200 years instead of 5 years,” the AAP chief said, taking a jibe at PM Modi.

What Did PM Modi Say?

The Prime Minister addressed a public meeting in Ashok Vihar’s Ramlila Ground and slammed the Delhi government over “sheeshmahal”, the name given by the BJP to the new Chief Minister’s residence in the city.

He also described the AAP government as “AAPda government” and said that the people have now waged a war against it.

“Ye AAP, ye ‘aapda’, Delhi par aayi hai’, and hence the people of Delhi has waged a war against ‘aapda’. Voters of Delhi have made up their minds to free Delhi from this ‘aapda’. Every voter of Delhi is saying, ‘aapda ko nahi sahenge, badal ke rahenge’…” PM Modi said.

He further alleged that the Delhi government “damaged” school education in the last 10 years.

AAP Reacts To ‘Damaged Education’ Remark

Delhi Minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj refuted the Prime Minister’s remark on education in the capital city and invited him to visit government schools and decide if work has been done in this field.

“I feel like laughing when the PM talks about the education system in Delhi…Today, many big people from across the world come to Delhi to see the schools here. I would also invite PM Modi to come and see the govt schools and decide if work has been done or not. It is unfortunate that he is saying this from a big stage,” he told news agency ANI.
