Thiago Almada’s late equaliser helped a 10-man Argentina salvage a point against Colombia in their FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier at Buenos Aires on Tuesday.
After Luis Diaz opened the scoring with a stunning solo effort, running past three defenders and slotting it into the net in the 24tth minute. Argentina’s night went from bad to worse when Enzo Fernandes was sent off for a foul of Kevin Castano in the second half.
However, Almada’s strike nine minutes from time ensured the match ended on level terms and Argentina remained five consecutive matches unbeaten.
