Ananya Panday revealed that after the failure of Liger, she asked her father, Chunky Panday, to refrain from giving her advice on selecting films, subtly implying he might have influenced her decision to do the 2022 movie with Vijay Deverakonda. She also jokingly recommended that he delete his Instagram account to steer clear of problems caused by his random likes.

The father-daughter duo, Chunky and Ananya Panday, appeared on We Are Yuvaa’s show Be A Parent Yaar, where they had a candid conversation. During the discussion, Ananya playfully asked her father, “Do you think I am a good actor?” Chunky humorously replied, “At home or on screen?” He also teased her for being particular about reading scripts before choosing roles. In response, Ananya joked, “You’re not allowed to advise me after Liger.”
The Pan-Indian action thriller Liger generated high expectations but ended up disappointing at the box office, facing criticism from both audiences and critics.
During the conversation, Ananya commented on her father’s Instagram habits and said, “Your Instagram needs to be deleted because you like posts without reading them, which causes more trouble.” Chunky playfully defended himself, responding, “I just like any post where I see your photograph.”
The duo also touched on the topic of nepotism in Bollywood. Chunky asked Ananya if she considered herself privileged to be his daughter. Ananya openly replied, “Nepotism comes with a certain stigma, but I would never want to stop being known as your daughter.”
On the work front, Chunky Panday is set to appear in Housefull 5. Ananya Panday has had a noteworthy year with her show Call Me Bae and Netflix film Ctrl, both of which received positive responses from audiences.
