KOCHI: The Kerala high court asked the Centre on Wednesday if it intends to order a Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) probe into the affairs of Exalogic Solutions, the software firm of chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan‘s daughter Veena T, and the Kochi-based company to which it was offering services.
Justice Devan Ramachandran’s query came after central government filed a memo in court confirming that it has ordered an investigation of the companies under Section 210 (investigation into affairs of company) of the Companies Act. The HC said while it was recording the submissions of government’s counsel, it does not reflect any decision of government with respect to Section 212 of the act – an SFIO investigation.
The counsel then sought more time to confer with the Centre.
The HC said the Centre appears to have initiated an investigation under Section 210 of the act and adjourned the matter to Feb 12.
