Armando Sadiku will be available for FC Goa in its clash against Chennaiyin FC after the AIFF Disciplinary Committee overturned the red card he received in the ISL 2024-25 clash against East Bengal.
Sadiku was shown a direct red card by referee Crystal John in the third minute of second-half stoppage time after the Albanian’s foul on Jordan international Hijazi Maher.
FC Goa went on to win the match 1-0.
The club appealed the decision successfully and Sadiku’s red card was changed to a yellow.
“Following a detailed review of the video evidence submitted by the Club, the committee determined that Armando’s actions did not amount to intentional serious foul play or violent conduct. As a result, the red card has been overturned and replaced with a yellow card,” FC Goa said in its official statement.
The Albanian has nine goals and two assists in 15 appearance for the Gaurs in the ISL this season.
