Senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique tragically passed away on Saturday after being shot multiple times by unidentified assailants. The shocking attack occurred near the office of his son, Zeeshan Siddique, in Bandra East. Siddique sustained critical gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen and was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
On Sunday, several Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan, gathered at Baba Siddique’s house to pay their last respects amid heavy security.Stars such as Shehnaaz Gill, Raj Kundra, Giorgia Andriani, Ramesh Taurani, Maniesh Paul, Urvashi Rautela, Rashami Desai, and Zareen Khan were also seen offering their condolences.

Salman Khan, visibly worn out, arrived under strict security. His personal bodyguards formed a human chain around him for protection. Salman quickly entered his black armored SUV, accompanied by his head of security, Shera, and left the residence, followed by a Mumbai police convoy.

Sohail Khan and his sister, Arpita Khan Sharma, also arrived to pay their respects. They were joined by BJP leader Shaina NC and singer Iulia Vantur.

The Mumbai Crime Branch said that a total of six round of bullets were fired at Siddique, out of which three hit him. As per police, the police have arrested the accused and the two accused have been identified as Gurmail Singh, a native of Haryana and Dharamraj Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh who were in Mumbai. Also, the police have identified the third accused and is likely to be arrested soon.
Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde announced that Siddique will be cremated with full state honours.
