Dharma Productions is back with a brand new comedy film titled Bad Newz, aiming to replicate the success of their 2019 hit Good Newwz. However, this sequel takes a fresh approach, featuring an entirely new cast and a different comedic premise. Vicky Kaushal, known for his diverse roles, will be sharing the screen with Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. And the trailer for the upcoming comedy is out.

On Instagram, Karan Johar wrote, “Tripling up the entertainment quotient with some #BadNewz – a total package of everything you never saw coming! A rare comedy film inspired by true events. TRAILER OUT NOW!”
While Good Newwz tickled audiences with its story of two couples dealing with the accidental mixing of sperm samples, Bad Newz seems to be taking things in a new direction. Details on the exact plot are scarce, but reports suggest it might delve into the rare phenomenon of heteropaternal superfecundation, where twins are conceived from different fathers.

Adding to the excitement is the news of Ananya Panday’s cameo role in Bad Newz. While details about her character remain undisclosed, her presence alongside the lead cast suggests a potentially hilarious addition to the narrative.
The film is helmed by Anand Tiwari. Bad Newz is slated to hit the theatres on July 19, 2024.
