Rahul’s blip on tapasya during his speech in Lok Sabha had BJP’s benches in splits on Saturday. Gandhi said tapasya means generating heat in the body. “There was a boy (Eklavya) who would do tapasya at 4am. Every day, he would pick up the bow and shoot arrows. And, for hours he undertook this tapasya. For years,” he said. “Tapasya generates heat. I have heard this for the first time. Who is teaching him? He doesn’t do his homework. Why is he defaming a pious word like tapasya saying it generates heat,” BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad said.
