BJP releases list of star campaigners for J&k assembly polls; PM Modi to lead campaign | India News

NEW DELHI: The Bharataiya Janata party on Monday released the star campaigner‘s list for the upcoming assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be leading the poll campaign. The list also include names of Union minister Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and JP Nadda among others.
Earlier, the party released the second list of one candidate for the upcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir.BJP has fielded Choudhary Roshan Hussain Gujjar to contest from Konkernag.
The party had also announced a list of 44 candidates for all three phases of the assembly polls but later withdrew it. The revised list, released hours later, was limited to only 15 candidates for the first phase.
The assembly elections in J&K are set to take place in three phases on September 18, 25, and October 1. Candidates have until August 27 to file their nomination papers for the first phase. The vote counting will be conducted on October 4.
