NEW DELHI: Cabinet Friday approved establishment of 85 new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) and 28 Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVs) across the country under the civil and defence sectors. The initiative aims at expanding high-quality educational opportunities for students, especially in rural and underserved areas, while showcasing the implementation of NEP, 2020 through PM Shri schools.
With inclusion of almost all KVs and NVs as PM Shri schools, the institutions are poised to set benchmarks in pedagogy, infrastructure, and student outcomes, as per govt.
