In the next game, the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams, the 49ers may be without another key player. Tight end George Kittle is reported as doubtful for the upcoming match due to a hamstring injury. This new detail is adding to the team’s list of injuries, which is already long.
Kittle was seen on the injury report on Thursday, along with running back Christian McCaffrey (currently on injured reserve due to calf and Achilles issues) and wide receiver Deebo Samuel (calf injury is expected to keep him out for at least the next two games).Besides that, defensive star Nick Bosa (rib), as well as cornerback Charvarius Ward (hamstring, knee) are both questionable for the match against the Rams.

Kittle, who is a five-time Pro Bowler, has had a good season so far, with the numbers of 11 receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown in the first two games. His loss would be felt in the passing game as well as in the run game, as he is known for his very good blocking skills.
If Kittle is unable to suit up, tight ends Eric Saubert and Jake Tonges will be in line for additional playing time. The 49ers also will require wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk and Jauan Jennings to elevate their play and running back Jordan Mason if Kittle is unable to go. Fortunately for San Francisco, they face a Rams team also dealing with a substantial amount of injuries. Los Angeles will be sans star wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, with an undermanned offensive line and defensive backfield as well.
The 49ers meet the Rams Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET, with both franchises attempting to get through their various injuries in this key NFC West battle.
