Dipika Kakar Ibrahim recently made her comeback on television after four years of hiatus with the first season of cooking reality show, Celebrity Masterchef. The actress impressed the judges with her culinary skills and managed to secure immunity pins in the initial episodes itself. However, as per latest reports, the actress has apparently quit the show.
Earlier, reports suggested that the actress would not be part of the show’s Holi special episode. Now, new reports claim that Dipika has decided to quit the show due to health issues. However, neither the actress nor the channel has officially confirmed the news yet.
Recently, in one of her vlogs, Dipika has revealed how her shoulder pain had worsened, leading to a hospital visit. She shared in the video, “Meri halat bahut buri thi. There’s a muscle injury around my shoulder and upper arm. Due to my recent hectic schedule, the pain escalated.”
She required medical attention for two days, underscoring the impact of continuous work and physical strain. Despite this, she remains dedicated to the show.
She further shared her struggles with severe pain, admitting that each breath worsens her discomfort. Doctors have advised her to keep the affected area as still as possible to aid recovery. While she is on anti-inflammatory medication, she understands that healing will take time. Despite the pain, she continued shooting, but as the pain got worsened she has apparently now quit the show.
If reports of Dipika’s exit are true, the show will be left with nine contestants: Gaurav Khanna, Nikki Tamboli, Tejasswi Prakash, Archana Gautam, Usha Nadkarni, Rajiv Adatia, Kabita Singh, Faisal Shaikh, and Ayesha Jhulka.
