A disturbing incident took place when a man left a jug filled with liquid, accompanied by a threatening note outside a Manhattan police precinct. The jug, which was roughly a gallon, was placed outside the 6th Precinct on West 10th Street in the West Village at around 4 pm on Thursday.
The note attached to the jug warned, “I seriously hope you didn’t open that jar because chlorine gas is a bit**.”
It also claimed that the next package would be a bomb, saying it was headed to Yeager Airport in West Virginia, as per the New york Post.
The man, dressed in a black jacket, hoodie, sunglasses, face covering, and black sneakers, fled the scene before authorities arrived. The NYPD Bomb Squad quickly responded and determined the substance inside the jug was harmless.
Both the NYPD’s Intelligence and Counterterrorism Bureau and the Department of Environmental Protection have been informed about the incident.
