Varun Dhawan explained how he got on board for the show after watching the previous venture of Raj and DK, “I saw The Family Man. Sam (Samantha) was in the second season as well. I called DK late at night. He must be wondering why I called him at that hour. We started discussing how I had never done action. DK leaked out the information that they are doing something with the Russo Brothers.” Russo Brothers became a global phenomenon, thanks to the Avengers series. They also backed Citadel, starring Priyanka Chopra.

Soon, Varun Dhawan came on board for Citadel: Honey Bunny. He added, “In my heart, I was manifesting that Samantha will be the actor they’ll want in this show. I told them, ‘This particular role can be played by Samantha, right?’. This is because I had just seen The Family Man and I was a fan.”

Varun Dhawan then corrected himself, “No. I have been a fan since I saw Makkhi (2012)!”

Varun Dhawan continued, “There’s also Kay Kay Menon sir in the show. I am his huge fan. I am also so happy that I am sharing screen space with Sikandar Kher for the first time. I’ve known him for years. He bullied me when I was a child! There’s also Saqib Saleem, who’s a dear friend.”

The other highlight of the show is child actor Kashvi Majmundar giving the best speech of the event, stunning the anchor and the actors on stage.

Citadel: Honey Bunny releases on Amazon Prime Video on November 7.
