Security forces shot dead a Maoist commander in Dantewada who carried a bounty of Rs 5 lakh. He was accused of killing a cop and carrying out IED blasts that killed more cops. The slain Maoist, Ratan Kashyap alias Salam (31), was a deputy commander of Todma militia platoon and an Amdai area committee member. He faced numerous cases, including an IED explosion in 2020 that killed two policemen in Bastar’s Mardum area and the murder of a police officer in the same region.Officers see his killing as a big blow to the Naxals.
