After Iran‘s overnight attack on Israel, during which the former launching more than 300 projectiles aimed at it, Indian govt said it is “seriously concerned” about the hostilities between the two countries and called for immediate de-escalation, restraint and return to diplomacy.
This was the second time India expressed concern at developments that followed the April 1 attack on an Iranian diplomatic establishment widely believed to have been carried out by Israel. The statement on Sunday specifically named Iran and Israel, unlike the response on April 4 that urged “all parties” to avoid actions in violation of international law. “We are closely monitoring the evolving situation. Our embassies in the region are in close touch with the Indian community. It is vital that security and stability are maintained in the region,” said the Indian govt.
