Delhi goes to the polls on Wednesday for the 2025 assembly elections, setting the stage for a fierce contest between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Congress.
A total of 699 candidates are vying for 70 assembly seats, with votes set to be counted on February 8. This marks the first election since AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal resigned as Delhi Chief Minister, following his arrest last year on corruption charges.
While AAP seeks another term, the BJP is determined to end its losing streak in Delhi, which dates back to 1998.
