Delhi Assembly Election Results 2025 Key Candidates and Parties: Early counting of votes indicate the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is heading towards the victory in Delhi for the first time in 27 years. The trends suggest that the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) suffered a significant dent in its tally while Congress failed to impressive voters in the city again.

Here’s A List Of Political Bigwigs And Key Seats

1. New Delhi

AAP chief and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is facing challenging from former MP and BJP’s Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma and former cabinet minister and son of Sheila Dikshit, Sandeep Dikshit in New Delhi seat. Kejriwal defeated Dikshit in New Delhi in his first election in 2013 and has been holding the seat since then.

2. Kalkaji

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi was re-elected from Kalkaji seat. She was facing former MP and BJP leader Ramesh Singh Bidhuri and Congress’ Alka Lamba. Initially, Atishi was trailing in early trends but later she widened his lead to secure victory.

Atishi defeated BJP’s Dharambir Singh of BJP by a margin of 11,393 votes in 2020 election.

3. Sultanpur Majra

Delhi Cabinet Minister Mukesh Kumar Ahlawat is seeking re-election from Sultanpur Majra. BJP has fielded Karam Singh Karma and Congress pitted Jai Kishan.

In 2020, Ahlawat won the seat defeating Ram Chander Chawriya of BJP by a margin of 48,052 AAP had a vote share of 66.51% in 2020 in this seat.

4. Ballimaran

Delhi Cabinet Minister Imran Hussain has been pitted against BJP’s Kamal Bagri and former Congress bigwig Haroon Yusuf. Hussain won the seat in 2015 and 2020 Delhi Assembly elections while Yusuf emerged victorious in 2008 and 2013.

5. Greater Kailash

Delhi Health Minister and sitting MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj has been field again from Greater Kailash. BJP has pitted Shikha Roy and Garvit Singhvi from Congress.

Bharadwaj has won the seat in 2013, 2015 and 2020 as well.

6. ShakurBasti

Former cabinet minister and AAP leader Satyendar Jain is facing BJP’s Karnail Singha and Congress leader Satish Singh Luthra.

Jain won back to back election from seat in 2013, 2015 and 2020.

7. Malviya Nagar

AAP leader Somanth Bharti is facing former BJP chief Satish Upadhaya and Congress leader Jitender Kumar Kochar. Bharti won the seat in 2013, 2015, and 2020.

8. Rohini

BJP’s Vijender Gupta, who retained the Rohini seat despite AAP’s landslide victories in 2015 and 2020, is seeking re-election from the seat again. AAP leader Pardeep Mittal and Congress Sumesh Gupta are also in the fray.

In the 2013 Delhi Assembly elections, AAP’s Rajesh Garg won the seat defeating BJP’s Jai Bhagwan Aggarwal.

9. Patparganj

AAP’s new inductee Avadh Ojha is facing former Delhi Congress chief Anil Chowdhury and BJP’s Ravinder Singh Negi. Former Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia won the seat in 2013, 215 and 2020. He switched to Jangpura seat for this election.

10. Jangpura

Former Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia lost the election to BJP’s Tarvinder Singh Marwah. Congress leader Farhad Suri was also in the fray. The seat has been retained by AAP candidates since 2013.

11. Chandni Chowk

Punardeep Singh Sawney (Sabby) is facing a tough challenge from BJP’s Satish Jain and Mudit Agarwal from Congress.

Congress candidate Parlad Singh Sawhney won the seat in 2013. Congress leader Alka Lamba, who contested on AAP ticket, bagged the seat in 2015 and AAP’s Parlad Singh Sawhney won in 2020.

12. Okhla

Sitting AAP MLA from Okhla Amantullah Khan is facing BJP’s Manish Chaudhary and Ariba Khan from Congress. The seat has been with Khan since 2015.

13. Bijwasan

Former cabinet minister Kailash Gahlot, who joined the BJP ahead of Delhi polls, has shifted to Bijwasan from Najafgarh. His political opponents are Congress candidate Devinder Kumar Sehrawat and AAP’s Surender Bhardwaj.

14. Badli

Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav is in the fray from Badli. His opponents include BJP’s Aahir Deepak Chaudharyy and AAP leader Ajesh Yadav.

15. Karol Bagh

BJP’s national general secretary and Dalit leader Dushyant Gautam has been pitted against AAP’s Vishesh Ravi in Karol Bagh seat. Ravi has retained the seat since 2013.
