Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh, known for his candid remarks and compassionate nature, recently addressed online trolls targeting a woman who became emotional at his Jaipur concert. Sharing a heartfelt video on Instagram, the ‘GOAT’ singer stood firmly in support of his female fans while delivering a powerful message about respect and emotions.

Diljit: “Music is an Emotion”
In the video, Diljit Dosanjh showcased clips of women visibly emotional during his concerts. He stated: “It’s ok, it’s ok to cry. Music is an emotion. There is a smile, dance, bhangra, gidda, and even crying in it. I myself have cried several times after listening to music. Only those people who have emotions can cry. I got you, don’t you worry about that. No one should stop a girl. They are independent; not only men but women earn, too. They earn and can enjoy themselves.”
Diljit also added an empowering caption: “A woman who knows her worth doesn’t need validation—she shines bright enough to light her own way.”
Diljit’s response comes weeks after British-American influencer Andrew Tate made a racist remark targeting the singer. Tate’s comment followed a viral video where Diljit gave his jacket to a fan. Tate’s derogatory “curry” comment sparked outrage among the Indian diaspora, who slammed him for his racist and insensitive jibe.
One user tweeted, “Diljit is millions of times the man you are, baldy human trafficker.” Another added, “Still smells better than sexual misconduct.” Despite the controversy, neither Diljit nor his team has publicly responded to Tate’s remarks.
Amid the controversies, Diljit remains focused on his music. His Dil-Luminati India Tour is scheduled to cover nine more cities, spreading his infectious energy and soulful performances throughout November and December.
