NEW DELHI: Bangladesh foreign minister Hasan Mahmud discussed the security situation in Myanmar with NSA Ajit Doval, saying the developments in the country could impact regional peace and stability.
He later also met his counterpart S Jaishankar for the delegation-level talks, in which the two discussed cross-border connectivity, economic and development partnership, cooperation in defence and security, power, energy, water resources, and people-to-people exchanges.

“The situation in Myanmar is a worrying factor for both the countries because both of us share a border with Myanmar. We discussed the issue with NSA Doval because for regional peace and stability, it is important that peace prevails in Myanmar,” Mahmud said.
Mahmud and Jaishankar also discussed areas of future engagement in line with the national development goals of the two countries.
