NEW DELHI: Speaking at the momentous event marking the consecration ceremony of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath said that the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple has finally arrived after a wait of 500 years, transforming the entire nation into a manifestation of devotion.
Addressing the gathering, chief minister Yogi Adityanath expressed the overwhelming emotions surrounding this historic occasion. He went on to highlight the pervasive sense of devotion to Lord Ram that has enveloped the country, likening the current atmosphere to the mythical ‘Treta Yug.’
“There are some feelings in my heart that I cannot find words to express. Everyone is emotional and happy,” Yogi Adityanath shared, emphasizing the profound impact of this moment. “On this historic moment, every city and village in the country has turned into Ayodhya, and every path seems to be heading towards the Ram Janmabhoomi”, he added.
Highlighting that Ayodhya would now resonate with the name of Bhagwan Ram instead of the echoes of gunfire, he said, “Now the streets of Ayodhya won’t echo with gunshots. There will be no curfew. Now there will be Deepotsav and Ramotsav here. Shri Ram’s name ‘Sankirtan’ will echo in the streets because the establishment of Ram Lalla here is the announcement of Ram Rajya…”
The chief minister further acknowledged the global significance of the event and said, “The entire world – especially Ayodhya – is elated at this historic moment. This generation – especially those who became a part of this (construction of Ram Temple) – is really blessed to witness this moment.”
Yogi was speaking at the Ram Temple inaugration in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, and Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel.
The idol of Ram Lalla was unveiled at the temple in the presence of Prime Minister Modi, who led the rituals at the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. The childhood form of Lord Ram, represented by the idol of Ram Lalla, now graces the main sanctum sanctorum on the ground floor of the temple.
