NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday laid out 11 resolutions (Sankalp) aimed at achieving a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India). These resolutions are rooted in constitutional values, PM Modi said in a speech in Parliament that lasted for two hours.
Here’s the list of sankalps presented by PM Modi
1. Fulfillment of duties (Kartavyon ka paalan): Every citizen and government must responsibly fulfill their duties to contribute to nation-building.
2. Inclusive development (Sabka saath sabka vikas): Ensure that development reaches every sector, guided by the principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.
3. Zero tolerance for corruption: Adopt a strict stance against corruption at all levels.
4. Respect for the Rule of law: Promote pride in adhering to and upholding the country’s laws, and traditions.
5. Freedom from Slave mentality.
6. End to dynastic politics: Liberate Indian politics from parivaar-vaad (dynastic politics).
7. Respect for the Constitution (Samvidhaan ka samman): Uphold the Constitution without exploiting it for political purposes.
8. Protection of reservations: Safeguard existing reservations while rejecting religion-based quotas.
9. Women-led development: Position India as a global leader in women-led development initiatives.
10. State-centric Growth (Rajya ke vikas se Rashtra ka vikas): Align the nation’s development with the progress of states to achieve balanced growth.
11. Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.
Moreover, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also launched a sharp critique of Congress, accusing a single family within the party of undermining the Constitution.
Speaking in the Lok Sabha during the discussion on the ‘Glorious Journey of 75 Years of the Constitution of India’ PM Modi said, “One family of Congress left no stone unturned in hurling a blow to the Constitution.”
