India suffered a close loss to England on day five of the third Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series at Lord’s on Monday.
The Shubman Gill-led side now trails the host 1-2 in the series heading into the fourth Test at Old Trafford, Manchester.
The 22-run reverse was India’s the lowest margin of defeat in England and the fourth-lowest margin Tests overall.
