Ernakulam education sub-district was crowned champions at the 35th Ernakulam Revenue District Arts Festival that concluded at Kuruppampady near Perumbavoor on Friday.
The champions bagged 961 points, while Aluva sub-district emerged first runners-up with 922 points and North Paravur sub-district came third with 844 points.
Among schools, Vidyadhiraja Vidyabhavan, Aluva, emerged first with 331 points, while St. Teresa’s CGHS and St. Augustine Girls’ HS emerged the first and second runners-up with 261 points and 255 points respectively.
In the upper primary general category, Aluva and Ernakulam sub-districts emerged first and second with 154 points and 149 points respectively, while in the high school general category, roles were reversed with Ernakulam emerging winners with 412 points, and Aluva came second with 371 points.

In the high school Arabic category, Perumbavoor emerged winners with 95 points, while Kolancherry, Aluva, and Vypeen shared the second position with 93 points each.
Antony John, MLA, handed over trophies to the winners. District panchayat president and organising committee working president Manoj Moothedan presided. District Collector N.S.K. Umesh was present. Actor Bipin George was the chief guest.
