Dharmendra and Hema Malini mark their 45th wedding anniversary today, May 2. The couple share two daughters, Esha and Ahana Deol. To acknowledge the occasion, Esha shared a post on Instagram, celebrating the milestone in her parents’ journey together.

The album begins with a vintage film still of a young Dharmendra and Hema Malini, captured smiling warmly as they gaze into each other’s eyes.
The second slide features a family portrait with Dharmendra and Hema Malini seated together. Hema Malini wears an off-white silk saree with a pink border, while Dharmendra appears in a casual white shirt and grey trousers. Joining the couple are their daughters, Esha and Ahana Deol, dressed in matching ethnic outfits. Esha wears a pink embroidered kurti, while Ahana opts for a green embroidered ensemble.
Esha Deol added the song ‘Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai’, sung by Asha Bhosle and Mohammed Rafi, from the film Tum Haseen Main Jawan, starring Dharmendra and Hema Malini, to the photo of her parents. Her caption read, “ Happy anniversary, mamma & papa. You are my world. Love you.”
On their 44th wedding anniversary last year, Hema Malini shared a video montage on Instagram featuring Dharmendra, offering candid moments of the couple together. The caption said, “Our wedding anniversary today! 44 years of togetherness, 2 beautiful girls, lovely grandchildren surrounding us and drowning us with their love. Our fans and their limitless adulation! What more can I ask of life? Our eternal gratitude to the Almighty for this gift of happiness.”
Hema Malini and Dharmendra were married in 1980. Prior to that, Dharmendra was married to Prakash Kaur in 1954, with whom he has two sons, Sunny and Bobby Deol. Over the years, Dharmendra and Hema Malini have co-starred in numerous films, including Sholay, Aas Paas, The Burning Train, Raja Jani, Baghavat, Dharm Aur Qanoon, Rajput, Kinara, Jugnu, Azaad, Patthar Aur Payal, and Seeta Aur Geeta.
On the work front, Dharmendra was last seen in the 2024 film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, and starring Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor. Esha Deol’s most recent on-screen appearance was in Tumko Meri Kasam.
